I relapsed

I relapsed on sunday 24.03, binged PMO in three nights until 4am, 9 faps in 48h, 6 faps in 30h, I'm pretty much depleated and sleep deprived. Avoid relapsing at all cost.

My God! That read like a horror film for me - I actually flinched when I read the "9 faps in 48h" part. Damn! Man - get lots of sleep; drink lots of water and electrolytes; put a lock around the penis if you have to - you're having something like a blood hemorrhage!

This is the main issue. If a person was to watch porn once every 60-90 days its effects on the brain would be moderate at best(not suggesting this as a practical solution). But the binging! The binging is the real problem. Yes cutting porn completely out is the ultimate goal but until then we must not binge! The more you binge the more you’re going back to ground zero, losing most if not all of the progress you’ve made. @Escape_From_Porn is right. From my experience his method is really the only way. Easy peasy is good as well. Willpower is truly not enough. You will eventually deplete yourself and binge because you will have no willpower left and willpower is the strength used to start and extend a steak/lifestyle. Although it is the start you must put systems in place to protect yourself and your precious willpower(save for when really needed). By systems I mean lifestyle habits and mindset. In other words start something to make money, start something to enjoy yourself, start something to improve fitness.This is just the basics but it’s bullet proof. Please take what I say into consideration, I’ve had a long journey and have had to pay a great price in my life for this knowledge. Godspeed brothers

I have been telling this for a long time. Willpower method will eventually fail.
It's like brute forcing a SHA-256 algorithm password. Impossible.
Initially, for simple passwords (with just 100 combinations), brute force will work, but it cannot be scaled against complicated passwords (with 1 million combinations).

Similarly, initial few days - willpower seems to help, but as the days go by, urges will get strong. And we too cannot forever be expending energy to keep resisting urges - we have to live a life. Resisting porn is not our full time job.
So the willpower shall grow weaker while the urges grow stronger. And eventually, when the balance tips (urge is stronger than willpower), you will snap and relapse.

And yes - I completely agree - set up systems in place. Have replacement habits. Basically, porn has been your friend for all situations - happiness / sadness / fear / joy - whatever the moment.
Now you must make new friends - exercise or music or walking or gardening - whatever that takes your fancy.

I too have paid a very heavy price - I don't wish to divulge private details, but this porn is no less than a cocaine habit. Imagine a decade long addict of cocaine looking back at his life - that's my current situation. Feel so much regret as I pick up the pieces and rebuild.

But I don’t look back to go back anymore, I’ve put that part of me in the past and I’m leaving it there.

It's not as hardcore as you think, I know people who jack off daily 2 times, morning and evening and they normaly go to school etc. As they do it for years. But they are fucked in the head. I jacked off for 8 days daily and all I can say it's a major waste of time and energy. The relapse was about 20 faps in all these days and I had a morning wood today at 8 a.m. 24 hours after last fap and it lasted 15 minutes with no touching.

It's immaterial that you're having morning wood now. It does mean that your fapping is harmless.

I am 35 years old right now. It was 9 faps in 48h, I not gonna lie, after long edging and 7 f them was big loads with porn and 2 just MO. Yes, it's unusual for men, even in high school my friend was telling me felt really tired for a few days after jacking off 2-3 times in one day. I quit alcohol in 2022, since that time my body looks like it reversed ageing and libido is much higher than before. The only thing I do wrong is jacking off too much and sleeping too late.
