Replying a fallen soldier

#1

So I recently saw one of the soldiers on the telegram NoPMO group chat sending a message stating:

" I don’t know how anyone could actually succeed on no fap because you are going to get so horny at some point you will masturbate or watch porn, I think masturbating by itself isn’t as bad as PMO. "

This motivated me to reply saying:

" I personally don’t believe in vilifying the act of being horny, it’s a natural state that we get throughout the day - even when we sleep - but in fact, I believe that when we get it and acknowledge the fact that we want to act upon it, to resist instead and let it pass (scientifically it take up to 20 mins for an urge to pass, so distract yourself during that time and stay away from any source that would encourage the PMO). That’s when the true character is molded and created. I try to be steadfast and conscious of the content I am consuming and I try also to be defiant to certain triggers that I could see on Instagram or youtube. It’s not easy and I am speaking from a journey of nearly 3-4 years of failing and retrying over and over. I hope this would motivate you to not listen to that part of you that’s hopeless in the process. I would be glad to know that you will restart and get back again. If I had to give you Keiran one piece of advice, it is when you fail, note down what made you fail at that moment and how you felt after it. Good luck brother, and if you need anything regarding this process let me know, we are in this together!
Food for thought https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-moW9jvvMr4. "

The reason why I am sharing this is in hopes that what I replyed may motivate others like him that have fallen and started feeling hopeless, and also motivate others like me that haven’t yet but start getting doubts or start forgetting why they started this all together.

What could you add to what I said? I am curious to know your opinion?

I am on Day 21 now good luck to all of us and Stay Steadfast!

Great post man,
was really looking for some motivation and found it in your post, i’m on day 15 which has always been a difficult time for me. I feel I do self sabotage myself by going through social media and getting triggered by something. Time to put the phone down and keep ticking off important tasks.
God bless.
