What The Victors Do Different

@50B_Operator’s Wise words:
"What did the 10% did differently from the others ? How did they stop urges ? What kept them going through ?
They did cold showers and workouts regularly, some did meditation: the most important thing was being determined or simply being occupied with habits or school. Some live day by day and fight like it is the last one, but these won’t last longer. The 10% that really won the war are the ones that don’t even react to urges because there isn’t any: it’s all in the mind, and when your stupid brain cries for dopamine, you don’t have any mercy. The only reason you don’t smash it is because you still need it for intellectual work.

How are these 10% folks goals different from others? Does engagement directly relate to success ?
Their goals are different. They are more realistic, to avoid making impossible goals resulting in depression, and sometimes way bigger than normal folks’: this way, we see the bigger picture, and urges are absolutely irrelevant because we first work for a greater cause.
In the point above, I described that some people take their fights too seriously and overreact to urges: the problem is, you shouldn’t have to fight urges. You should work on counter-measures instead. That’s why engagement directly relates to the success of a war, but not necessarily its goals, such as being liberated from the PMO addiction (not that if you have great engagement you are losing: but that engagement only won’t save you).

What is common causes of KIA (after day 3) ?
Your stupid brain (your unconscious), not strong enough to make you get dopamine by PMOing, tries to rationalize the act of PMO itself so “it’s okay to do it” BUT ITS NOT FUCKING OK. That’s the game of the big, strong, gentle but stupid person that is against a very small, weak, intelligent but evil opponent. You are the conscious big and strong person: you just have to understand that whatever the evil uncouscious wants you to do, it’s not ok. Period. You don’t even consider his offers: that would be dealing the devil, and you have known hell.

Going back what would 90% feel might have helped them ? Does it differ from person to person ?
I don’t think it differs from person to person. A single change in the mind, a philosophical change could have helped them. Well, it would have more than helped them: they would have won. They wouldn’t be speaking about “streaks” anymore, they wouldn’t be speaking about “war”, “days”… Because they would have won ! Why would they talk about their days and streaks if they were liberated in the first place ?

That’s not at the 90 days mark that you have made your reboot. It’s when you have decided to live your life like you want to live it: and personally, it’s without PMO." End Quote.

This was beautiful put by Operator from a comment thread.

Now I’d like to add my own words to the discussion. There are no urges there’s excuses. Yep that’s right an urge is an illusion a temporary crutch that your mind tries to trick you into thinking you need just a mere excuse.

Second Not PMOing isn’t the point. Listen you can be a miserable bastard who doesn’t PMO. You can just play videogames 24/7 binge eat sugar, ect. The point of nopmo is to build a life where you don’t even think about nopmo nor pmo. How can you do this you might ask, start taking cold showers, meditating, deciding a roadmap for the rest of your life. Be clear in what you want for yourself and put your whole being into achieving that dream.

Days don’t matter. To kill this addiction out right you’d not focus on it. What does a day matter to someone who’s through with pmo? It doesn’t. For all who count days & are trying to conquer this… You’re trying to conquer this still. To the victor the enemy has been defeated why keep track on the day you killed the enemy, he’s long gone.

Clarity. A lot of you are boys. Directionless having no clue on what you want to do in life just passing life by not knowing where you’re going. If you don’t have a target you’ll miss every time and land the same places where you were. You must be clear in what you don’t want but more importantly what you do want to achieve.

There Is NO Free Time. We were all created from dirt “The Lord God formed a man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7. And to dirt we will return when we die. Anytime not used for a purpose is time wasted. When your death could happen any day. Do you want to have to face the reality that the dreams which were always in your heart never became true because of all the time you spent wasting on netflix, youtube, & pmo which netted you no lasting result? Would all those seasons, shows, & filth be your legacy… The victor realizes this & ceases his time to work on his obsession & journey along his roadmap.

Belief Is Key. The victor will not doubt his success while not being arrogant. He will examine closely how others succeed in life & replicate that. He’s confident that the only reason he hasn’t had personal success yet isn’t because of some outside force, he acknowledges any failure is because he didn’t put in the work. Victors know success comes when preparation, hardwork, & discipline meet.
