In the video today, Sadhguru talks about the fundamental existence of life, and while watching it I realized that Jordan Peterson expressed a view that was in complete contrast to Sadhguru's.
(Paraphrasing)>
Jordan Peterson - The first thing that you must realize is that life is fundamentally suffering. Once you realize that, you realize that your purpose is to relieve any unnecessary suffering in the world, as best as you can.
Sadhguru - Life is not suffering. Life is neither suffering nor joy. Life is simply there. You can ride the wave of life and experience joy, or you can be crushed by the wave of life and experience suffering.
In my opinion, Jordan Peterson's outlook and advice seems much more pragmatic and realistic than Sadhguru's outlook. Sadhguru seemed to be looking at life through the perspective that our primary goal is to experience joy and "blissfulness".
To me, Peterson's advice and outlook makes more sense in regards to sustainability as well as altruism.
Eager to know your thoughts.
