Low screen challenge

Due to fatigue, lost sleep and overall tension in body induced by sitting in front of screens for too long, I've began a low-screen challenge.

The rules are:

No porn No social media except finding information or connecting real people (actually use FB as a forum and SMS, no scrolling, shorts or ragebait memes). Blocking the meme websites- they made my mind rubbish. Using screens for work, informational use, learning and actually no "junk screentime" where you spin around different forums out of boredeom. 90's kid challenge - try few old school hobbies, like drawing, musical instument (it's been a while, huh?), reading paperback books, nature walks. There's some limited time you can play videogames or watch TV series, mine is 60 mins/day. It's not too scrict but it's realisti. The challenge lasts 21 days, you can journal during it or set your own time limit.

the levels of happines I reached in the recent lo-screen challenge like that was beyond comparison. Combined with better sleep hours, there's just less drama in your life cause you don't scroll stupid, provoking social media content

Sounds like a great idea- I’ve been realizing how hooked on the phone I’ve become- doomscrolling, etc and not just pmo addiction. And this past week finally just have been wondering what it must be like to “feel” more again, I’m going to try something like this - thanks for sharing!

I forgot to say it’s interesting - I like that you mentioned “90s” stuff - while each generation has its own unique memories, there’s something about that time when we had some more tech but it wasn’t overdone (just my opinion) I was born in 94 and remember when things were fun early 2000s but I still felt imagination and excitement more- still read a lot of books etc and then got my first smartphone when I was 19- why was I fine before that but now find myself using gps just to get to the grocery store I’ve been to 15 times already, and pulling out my phone just to get through going to the bathroom?? Its insanity and It’s time to take the mind back. 🙏

oh yeah @Spartacus, that's the way I do the challenge. In 90's we as people live with less rush and enjoyed simple things in life. Not de-sensitized brain could enjoy food or music for real (90's music is memorable beacuse we listened to them with normal dopamine brain). We could laugh from 1 joke all day, not having thousands of memes and funny videos. When you wanted to know what is the highest mountain in Tunesia, you had to go to library and open a big encyclopedia. Now with dopamine-fried brains we can just feel a fraction of what moved us before.21 days challenge is to regain that power
