The past exists to guide and warn you, not to trap you. Learn from it, but do not live there; growth requires moving forward, not anchoring in what is over.”

I also like to think of this as a way to appreciate fond memories, accepting the present is what is now but we can cherish moments from the past that helped shape us in the good ways, too.
