New Day, New Challenges

I'm definitely not feeling strong today. I started a little before the war and usually, the first few days are "easy" because my dopamine receptors are cooked. Then eventually I have stronger urges.

If I recall correctly, while there is some variation strong urges usually hit around end of week 1 or early week 2 while the flatline hits shortly after that. Not looking forward to that, flatline is where I failed last time, but at least I can stay focused for it.

For strong urges I usually find other things to enjoy in my day - writing, exercise, etc. Anyone have any good tricks for the flatline, where everything is (temporarily) gray?

You can power through. Surround yourself with others - don't isolate. Where I am it's a cold, lazy Saturday. Get outside and get with friends. I know you'll be OK.

Also, it's all mindset. Don't fall for the trap "oh I didn't do what I should've done - guess I'll relapse since that was what was supposed to prevent me from relapsing". If you're supposed to go to the gym, and you don't, that's OK. It certainly helps but it's not a do-or-die. You just aren't someone that watches porn. Simple as that.
