Don’t know what else to do

I first checked out this site almost a decade ago, near the birth of my first child, in hopes of finding motivation to be able to move past this issue.

Since then I can see the devastation that’s come into my family life by not conquering my self and leaving this problem behind me.

All I can do is try again and hope to have 50 days of reprieve from the emotional retardation that this problem has caused. Maybe I can tie in quitting alcohol and drugs at the same time so I can just break free from everything weighing me down.

I’m now finding that I can really only do this for myself and by myself. Nobody will hold
My hand, and nothing is more important than caring for myself and healing for my own sake, full stop. I don’t even want to think about the trickle down affect or who else should join me, only focusing on me entirely is something I’ve never done.

Here we go again.

A decade is a while
but youve come back right?

As long as we always get back up, and try again, we'll be alright

If we never give up, and have never given up, then we've already won the war of attrition
Just gotta hang in there a little and it will all be alright

Stay strong bro, we got this

I’ve been an addict for far longer than 10 years and have two failed marriages in large part because of this addiction. I am now married for the third time to a wonderful woman and breaking this addiction for good is a top priority! I also quit alcohol almost 2 years ago…
Make this your top priority brother because the alternative, simply put, is hell 🙏

I am also struggling with no fap and substances. I'm on day 4 on substances. It's very difficult. Don't give up. I've been failing miserably too but I'm trying again. I hope you succeed this time. I hope I succeed as well. It's called a "War" for a reason. Just remember the good things that come with success and the bad things that come from failure. For now, let's win this one war at a time. Good luck and let's fight this one day at a time. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a footstep. A thousand days begins with the one. 👍

I find it pretty sad and a bit difficult to understand why so many brothers fall like flies in the first few days… let’s remember why we are here! As stated above, it is a war and by definition, very challenging and hellish at times. Victory comes at a cost, but the reward is worth it 💪
